Batik Tulis (hand-drawn batik), This workshop invites participants to explore the intricate process of creating traditional batik, a UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage, from scratch. Guided by expert local artisans, often in a traditional home-studio setting, you will discover the patience, precision, and artistry required to create authentic batik. Learn about the philosophical meanings behind traditional batik motifs and sketch your chosen design onto cotton or silk fabric.

Master the use of the canting, a traditional tool filled with hot, liquid wax to draw detailed patterns on the fabric. This acts as a resist-dyeing method, preventing color from penetrating the waxed areas, after that apply dyes to your creation, often utilizing natural dyes to create vibrant colors. Experience the final, satisfying stage of boiling the fabric to remove the wax, revealing your unique, finished design. Leave with your own handmade batik piece as a unique, personal, and educational souvenir of your Javanese experience.

BROMO SUNRISE TOUR

• Pick up at Meeting point in Malang City

• Travel to Tumpang Bromo (entrance gate of Malang national park)

• Arrive at rest area, transit by 4x4WD Jeep,

• Travel to sunrise viewpoint on Mt. Penanjakan area

• Hunting photo and enjoy sunrise panorama

• Back to Jeep, drive to the sand sea area of Mt. Bromo

• Exploration on foot / horse riding (optional) to the crater of Mt. Bromo

• Photo stop at Whispering Sand and Watangan Valley (Teletubies Hill)

• Travel to rest area, transit with pick-up vehicle

• Travel back to the pick-up point / drop point in Malang / Surabaya city
